i would like to have met him when i grew up his name was often brought up because of my father (Clifton Hall) which was harolds (alfalfa's brother) best friend for many years. my dad grew up in cambre ILL. AND MOVED TO CALIFORNIA where he met alfy and harold and they played at the hal roach studio's back lot before the series our gang was even thought of so i have alot of storys i have been told and when my dad and i went to the cemetary to see his grave along with harold and his father we noticed a wierd machine on his dads side of the headstone and we couldnt make anything of it until my dad remembered the machine on his head stone is not a wash machine but a breast milk pumper that his father invented and thats a fact.my dad died shortly after we visted alfy's and harold and his fathers place of rest but the one thing i do know is alfy did die my parents were there. i think alfy liked life too much he just had a bad night like all of us do once in awhile, so thats about it see ya some day alfy and tell my dad thanks for the storys and have fun playing at the back lot at hal roach studio's

You do know that people can look up the actual inventors of stuff, right? One little search on Google disproves that Switzer's dad invented the breast pump. If he did, he forgot to get a patent on it because some other dude took a patent out on it. Methinks Switzer's dad had a fetish or you're (comically) mistaken.
And why are you calling the dude Alfy? I can't imagine someone whose career tanked as an adult because of a character he played as a kid would like to be called a shortened version of the character's name.
