Hi Bob, why would you say that? I'm curious to know..
By the way Bob, that's my point exactly! One would never guess that Alfie would've gotten killed! After having met him personally myself, and being well acquainted with the works of Roy Rogers and his wife Dale (Alfie's dearest friends), I know and can say firsthand that Alfie was just as nice a person could be and quite respectable as his friends were. Alfie was a very nice person who was quite courteouss. The truth about his acting career was simple . he didn't like acting, and he deliberately found his way out of it. Much of what was said in the press concerning Alfie's adult life and death is untrue. Since I've found out the true story and what actually happened on January 21, 1959, I now laugh at the slander people have been spreading for the past 46 (plus) years! What's especially funny is that the maddness is still spreading and the story is ever changing getting further and further away from the truth. Nothing said about Alfalfa on the internet or in the press is true aside from that which is posted on and known by the websites 4alfalfa.com and CarlSwitzer.com (because the webmasters Myself and Tom Ludwig have found the truth through personal knowledge with the help of Alfie's friends and family).

You are delusional Quincy. Stop making stuff up. In another thread you claimed that Switzer faked his death back in 1959 and actually died in 2005. And you has nothing to do with Tom's website either.

Do you know what's more sad? His older brother Harold who played the accordian on the short Beginners Luck murdered his wife and then committed suicide in 1967. George "Spanky" McFarland was quoted as saying Alfalfa never got any direction from his parents in life.

OMGwhere do you people get your info? Harold did NOT murder his wife. He murdered an associate then killed himself. Regarding Spanky and his comment, under what authority would a grown man make an opinion based on childhood memories? Tommy Bond would have been more reliable to give an opinion in regard to Carl's upbringing as he was good friends with the family even into adulthood. There was animosity between the Switzers and McFarlands for their kids camera time when they were on the Our Gang series and naturally George would be biased toward what his own parents would have had to say. Any biographical information that has been printed thus far in regard to Switzer has been based on childhood memories of his Our Gang co-stars and not by any opinion from actors who he worked with when he was an adult. To put it into perspective, if someone were to write a biography about you, should they only interview your kindergarten classmates who hadn't seen you for 20+ years? And the bad press he got over the years was perpetuated by various authors who didn't bother to talk to people who knew him as an adult. I've seen interviews with the 'lesser' known Our Gang members who it was quite obvious they still held a resentment that they didn't get as much attention as Carl got in the shows. If anyone from the Switzer family should read this, especially Carl's son, please reconsider opening up the murder case as much of the information was inconclusive and there was some things amiss at the time that went in favor of Stiltz. For example, Carl's companion that night he was murdered was told by the judge at the inquest to leave town. Ask his children about this. Now is the time to have this reopened.
