Yes Riff in West Side Story is his most memorable character! I have to name a few others i have not forgotten the youngest brother in "Seven Brides for Seven brothers" and Elizabeth Taylor's younger brother in "Father of the Bride"

I loved the Norman Page character best and also Tom Thumb where he does some brilliant dancing and acrobatics.

I know him the best as Riff in West Side Story and Dr. Jacoby on Twin Peaks. Ironic that in Story he sings a song abou238t being a Jet until "your last dying day" and HE IS KILLED!

I love him as Norman in Peyton Place. His role as Gideon in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is my favorite. Anyone here seen him in High School Confidential? The movie is kind of silly but Russ is great.

Yes he is great in High School Confidential, but i agree that the movie is not award winning. He has the amazing ability of making any character he plays steal the whole movie. he might just have a little part but he is always the best character 😄

And a lot of people remember him most for the part of Dr. Paul Stewart in War of the Gargantuas or as Captain Jack Maynard on Babylon 5.
A lot of others remember him as a teen actor (Rusty Tamblyn) in several movies, including Samson and Delilah! He was in an Alan Ladd movie called Captain Carey USA. Good movie.
He has great presence on the screen and a charismatic personality. I'm glad that he's had such a long career.

                  Chocki in Cabin Boy.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
