if he was born in 1976 that would make him 7 years old in that video. -

Tracey, I know you volunteer for Jai so you would want to protect him. FYI: Just because Jai says something surely doesn't make it fact.
I have a copy of his drivers license which clearly shows his DOB as 08/23/1958 making him 55 years old.
I too volunteered for him and from 2003 until 2005 he kept the same birth year: 1976. Also, the article about Jay winning states his real name as Jai Janini. Also, to be in that competition you had to sign a contract stating you were at least 18 years of age. All facts from other competitors. -

I'm sure most people don't really care how old Jay is. He's a handsome man, regardless of his age. He has the right to keep his personal information private from the public. I think people should respect that. He may be a public figure, but not every tiny detail of his life needs to be public knowledge. Give the man some privacy.

Hollywood has never cared about the chronological age of an actor. It is the age you look on screen that matters. Many of the leading male actors are now as old or older than Jay, and quite often they are cast in roles where the character's age is much younger than the actor's actual age.

When I first discovered Jay's blog in 2003, he stated he was 36. When I stopped volunteering for him in 2005, I mentioned that he may need to update his birthday as he has been 36 for three years straight. To say he didn't appreciate my comment would be an understatement! He got angry and rude.
His drivers' license states he was born on 08/23/1958 and his address is that of his old manager Paul Greenstone. It is fraud and illegal to list an address other than your own btw.
When Sage was the moderator on Jay's first site. When questioned about Jay's age, she said he was born in the 1960s. When fans questioned that based on things he said, she said late 1960s. Still didn't make sense. Then Jay came onto his blog as a female alias (one of many) and went off on Sage. Said he was born in 1971.
Recently, an old classmate of Jay's at his private school, shows him with the date 1980. That would make Janani around 50. He was the smallest in his group. H also comes from a very wealthy family.
If you ask Jay a question, he will lie. As proven over and over. -

The point is that casting directors use imdb and if they want to cast an actor in his mid-late 30's, someone known to be over 40 would simply not even be considered for a casting call. If the age is unknown, then he might be selected on the basis of promotional pics or previous works. So Jay is totally right in keeping is DOB private, what matters is the age range that an actor can portray not his actual age.

The wonderful and talented actor, Gil Birmingham, turned 61 yesterday and is quite proud of it. He looks like he is in his early 40s. Gil's age certainly hasn't hurt him in getting quite bit of work lately.
