It had to be 1969. She was in my high school graduating class. I didn't know her that well though. I remember her being in a couple of my classes, but I don't remember much else.
She got her fame after we all graduated, and when I first saw her on TV, I asked around if that she same girl we knew from HS, and sure enough, it was!

She was on an episode of Soul Train that aired June 84 and they mention she was 15 so that should put her birth year at 1968.
