I talked to Michelle's mom, she passed away from Desmoplastic small round cell tumor.

Believe whatever you want to believe. Her MOTHER told me specifically that she did not die of cancer. I'm not making this up. So please stop trying to be annoying, when I'm telling you the truth.

He's not believing what he wants to believe. She died of DSRCT, which doctors consider a form of cancer. As a matter of fact, another name for it is "desmoplastic cancer". I'm not sure why her mother is saying that it wasn't cancer, but is saying that it was DSRCT. That doesn't seem to make sense.

Well, I really really don't know why she would say it's not cancer. I'm not trying to start anything. And maybe she knows something we don't know. She IS her mother, you know.
Anyway, I guess we can leave it at that.

Wow, you seriously need anger management. You don't know what 5b4went on in her family, so shut the hell up and stop trying to ASSUME she denied treatment. Leave her and her family alone. You do NOT know them.

Why are we arguing about what type of cancer she died from. Even so if something says TUMOR in its name, it is a form of cancer. Can't we just mourn this sad, painful and tragic death. Let us be upset, let us grieve this young, vibrant life that was taken from us decades before necessary. BTW, if you all have to argue about it, why don't you do it in private? It doesn't make any of us in the same circumstances feel like you should be alive instead of us. Think about those coming here to find out what their future isplease

Well, as a reply to your reply to my post earlier, I now understand where you're coming from. The reason people might have attributed her death to stomach cancer is because of the fact that the cancer is usually found in the abdomen. That said, most people refer to the abdominal area as the stomach; so I can see where the "stomach cancer" came from. Actually, one might say she died from ovarian cancer in order to be more accurate, because in females DSRCT (which is obviously what Michelle had) is usually found around the ovaries (it's sometimes mistaken for ovarian cancer). I only happen to know about DSRCT because I went to medical school for 4-years.
And btw, just because her mother said something doesn't mean it's trueit may be a harmless misunderstanding (I know for a fact that doctors can be very poor communicators when it comes to explaining medical phenomena to non-physicians). -

Michelle died of Desmoplastic Small Cell Tumor, which is a form of cancer.
This is a very different form of cancer than the mo111cre common type of stomach cancer. This is probably what Michelle's mother meant. -

She died of intra-abdominal desmoplastic small-round-cell tumor which is a rare form of stomach cancer. If you don't get rid of cancer it will just continue to grow and expand over your body until it destroys your blood vessels,organs,etc.
