years ago it w16d0as either in the late 70's or early 80's, Tim was one of the featured comics on HBO's annual "Young Comedians" special.
I was working at the Comedy Store on Sunset in Hollywood when it was filmed.
I had never seen or heard Tim before but was blown away by his routine of doing the entire movie "Stagecoach" doing all the voices.
this same special featured a very young PeeWee Herman.
I have searched but have been unable to find a DVD of this special and HBO doesn't seem to ever rerun it. -

Oh man! I thought I was losing my mind. We were visiting LA in 1978 and went to a comedy club. There was this guy doing an entire western routine complete with a whip. I couldn't remember if his name was Tim Thomerson or Tom Timmersan. In any event, it was an amazing routine.

I remember watching that "Stagecoach" routine in the early '80s, I believe. Tim was absolutely hilarious. I expected him to go further as a comedian, and I was surprised when he started making B-movies like "Trancers" later in the decade. I think he's a decent actor, but I wish he did more comedy as well.

Saw some clips of him on his official webste, but now the site has been taken down. Also had clips from his films, and a funny clip of him on THE GOLDEN GIRLS in a dress.

I recall Thomerson on tv during the 70's and remember the STAGECOACH routine but forgotten all about the Bronson impression until mentioned. I too though he'd go further as a comic and actor. I loved him in TRANCERS I and VOLUNTEERS where he seemed like and ok guy at first but slowly turns psychotic.

How lucky you were, shiner310, to see that show in person! It was one of the first shows my family saw on our brand-new HBO subscription, and we loved it. My brother and I were kids; our favorite bit was when Thomerson did his David Bowie imitation. We didn't even know who David Bowie was, but we loved hearing him sing "Ground control to Major Tom Ground Control to Major Tom why am I so ****ing strange?" We taped the show and played it over and over until the tape pretty much wore out. Thankfully we had a permissive Dad who didn't mind if we heard those words on TV, just as long as we didn't use them ourselves!
