Of those I've seen, I'd rank them:
    1)The Devil's Backbone
    2)Cronos
    3)Mimic (The Director's Cut)
    4)The Faun's Labyrinth
    5)Hellboy
    6)Geometry (short film)
Still haven't seen Blade II, Hellboy II, Pacific Rim or any of his other short work.

        1. A tie between Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy - Pan's Labyrinth is his "best" film, but Hellboy is my personal favorite. It's a movie that I could watch over and over again and not get bored. Helps that I'm a HUGE fan of the comics.
        2. The Devil's Backbone - An amazingly well made ghost story with a heart. Love the setting and the backstory/look of the ghost.
        3. Cronos - An amazingly well made vampire story with a heart. Love how small and intimate the story is, considering the subject matter.
        4. Pacific Rim - An amazingly well made giant robot/monster movie with a heart. Best movie of the summer.
        5. Blade II - Purely and simply a big, dumb, fun action movie. Jared Nomak and the Reapers are awesome villains.
        6. Hellboy II - Love the look of the world that del Toro designed and the big ideas that he tries to explore, but the story is lacking and I really dislike Danny Elfman's score. Also a bit too much humor for my taste.
        7. Mimic - A pretty bad film, but not all of that is del Toro's fault. It could have been a fun B-movie if the studio didn't meddle with it so much.

              1-
              Pan's Labyrinth
10 out of 10 (One of my favorite films.)
              2-
              Hellboy II: The Golden Army
              9 out of 10
              3-
              The Devil's Backbone
              9 out of 10
              4-
              Hellboy
              9 out of 10
              5-
              Blade II
              8 out of 10
              6-
              Chronos
              8 out of 10
              7-
              Mimic
7 out of 10 (Yes, he more-or-less disowned it, but you can still feel his presence and it's still a very well-made film.)
(I unfortunately have not had the opprotunity to see
              Pacific Rim
it came out at a time where I had no money to go to the movies, and I have had turbulent finances the past few months, so I cannot afford to buy the Blu-Ray release at this time.111c It's
              killing
me that I haven't seen it yet, because I am such an enormous del Toro fan.)
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

Pretty badly, given that Pan's Labyrinth is all he's got, and I love Ron Perlman, as much as the next guy or gal, but one Hellboy was enough, and I think the first one was vastly superior to the second. Oh yeah, Pacific Rim was horrible, horrible. Someone said it best. Charlie Humman (?) should've stuck to Sons of Anarchy and the rest of the cast was atrocious, let alone the script and plot. The robots were great for about ten minutes, and the aliens were great for less. That being said the people who go to movies these days have no clue what a good movie is, let alone great.

Usually producers have no real direct role in how the film turns out. I suppose if a big name guy like del Toro is on it would increase the budget/production value. That's something I suppose.

                            1. Pan's Labyrinth (10 out of 10) - Obviously his masterpiece. The best film in the horror/fantasy genre.
                            2. The Devil's Backbone (9.5 out of 10) - A near-perfect atmospheric ghost story. very close second.
                            3. Hellboy II: The Golden Army (9 out of 10) - One of the best superhero movies of all time.
                            4. Hellboy (8.5 out of 10) - Slightly behind its sequel, both films I love very much.
                            5. Pacific Rim (7.5 out of 10) - A nice homage to Japanese monster films.
                            6. Blade II (7.5 out of 10) - The best Blade film of the trilogy by far.
                            7. Mimic (7 out of 10) - My least favorite of his which wasn't his fault and yet still interesting.

                                    From what I've seen:

                                    1. Pan's Labyrinth 7
                                    2. Hellboy 7
                                    3. Pacific Rim 6
                                    4. Crimson Peak 5
Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime.

Del Toro has been one of the best fantasy minded filmmakers in the last couple of decades. Incredibly imaginative works with a real keen interest in real world issues marriage with the fantastical elements in his films.
                                      Pan's Labyrinth
is my clear number 1. Just wonderfully on about every level and it'll be very difficult for him to top that film at this point.
                                      Devil's Backbone
is number 2 - something of a sister film to Pan - not as majestic but still wonderfully moody and curious in it's own right.
                                      Cronos
would be number 3 - Great debut, but I wanted more. I felt like the film stopped just as it was gaining momentum.
After that it's Blade 2, Hellboy 2, Mimic and Hellboy. Blade 2 is arguably the best of the trilogy and a great romp. Hellboy 2 has the better story and characters, but Blade 2, for all it's flaws, has visceral thrills, intensity and some of the most disturbing vampires I had seen at that point. Mimic is good and just because i've listed it close to the end, it shouldn't suggest that it's weak. VERY creepy premise and adequately executed for the most part, but it's very far from the best of Del Toro.
                                      I haven't seen
                                      Pacific Rim
seems a bit too far removed from what he has done. I suppose I should give it chance since it's Del Toro after all.
My strength is greater than my weakness

I loved his visuals in Hell Boy 2
Crimson Peak was a big disappointment.
                                          BTW,
                                          to him!
