He would be perfect to direct a mortal kombat movie imo, a mix of the second hellboy and pan's labyrinth; stylish, dark, 2000lots of weird looking characters and awesome action. He seems to not mind gore too and does it well which is very fitting for a mortal kombat movie.

If there is ever a remake or reboot of Alien I would want him Mr. del Toro to do it. Please, please, please do it. He could breath new life into it as well as preserve the original flavor. The man has vision and story ideas that would make him the perfect choice to do any Alien film.

I really think he could transfer HP Lovecraft's stories to screen flawlessly. He's the king of interesting monsters and it would be a chance to make a monster horror movie with a psychological thriller vibe. Can you imagine his Cthulhu?

I just want him to quit trying so hard to make the big budget movies and come to the conclusion that he can get much more work done if he sticks with smaller budgets.
He's one of the best for monster-lovers. It's a shame that he keeps attaching himself to projects that the studio is bound to cancel.
