She came across as phony in most things I've seen her in, but I thought she was great in Deadpool!

Me,tooI posted something on the Deadpool forum board about the irony of her being in this movie, (both Deadpool and her original role, as herself on Sing Along with Mitch in 1961 often got nabbed as lowbrow[blah}) very good as nearsighted "Mrs/Magoo" as Deadpool calls her.
Amanda Bynes is hot and Lindsay Lohan is not.

        Irony?
Maybe there's something about Sing Along w/Mitch I do not know. Yes, it was cornball, but does that make LU's Deadpool appearance ironic?

Phony? Are you for real? She's incredible. Have you never seen Roots?

Yes, I am for real. Check my history. I have not seen
            Roots
, but she was in just about everything made in the '70s, and I've seen plenty of them, and she always seemed phony. I was pleasantly suprised to like her in
            Deadpool
            .

Roots was the pinnacle of her career. Watch it. You will change your mind. Her performance will tear your heart out of your chest.
Not to mention the fact that Roots is one of the greatest things ever made.

First off, if you didn't see Roots, I seriously doubt you were around in the 70s, seeing as how it was the monumental television event of that time. Second, if you have seen her best work than you have little right to judge her ability. Third, Deadpool is a terrible movie made for people with very low standards, however, Ms. Uggams was very sweet and the only genuine element of that entire movie.

If you know anything about the character she played in Deadpool you would understand how perfect she was. I'm so glad she played the part. Shows her range and sense of humor as a performer. She was spot on and fun.

She was very good in BACKSTAIRS AT THE WHITE HOUSE.
