I've been dying to see "Face to Face", have read the script and all, but can't find a copy. That said, she's one of the finest actresses of all time and from what I've seen, "Autumn Sonata" takes the cake (Ingrid Bergman also at her best), with "Scenes from a Marriage" as a close 2nd. But people should give more credit to Bibi Andersson in "Persona" - Liv was fine, but that was Bibi's moment to shine, and she was wonderful.

She is outstanding in "Face to Face," especially considering she is working solo in many of her scenes. It's far from her best film that would perhaps be "Cries and Whispers" or "Scenes From a Marriage" but it's right up there with her finest work.
