After all these years, my biggest Oscar grudge is still passing up her awesome performance in "Ansikte mot ansikte" for Faye Dunaway chewing the scenery in "Network." I can only figure that, contrary to the Academy's rules, the voters did not see Ullman's film, which only ran in arthouses.

I think an Oscar would cheapen her legacy. Would you respect her more if her name were always preceded by "Oscar winner"? I wouldn't.
