Vanity 6 vs The Good Girls

Some may not recall the short lived girl group from Motown called The Good Girls http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Good_Girls but they were dubbed the new version to Vanity 6. Basically they tried to make them more like the new Supremes but with their ranchy style and attitude they looked more like a copy cat to Vanity 6 without the lingere.

Wow I'm skocked someone else remembers The Good Girls as well. We're talkin way back in the day in the mid eighties. Wow!! I actually found an old Good Girls tape that my older bro had. He graduated HS in 86 so he was around all of those groups.
I never cared for them. At the time they were out, all of Prince's protege's were already disbanded. -

I think the Vanity 6 were frequently compared to Rick James' protges the Mary Jane Girls.
The Vanity 6 were originally called The Hookers. And I swear I heard Prince wanted Denise Matthews to use Vagina as a stage name.
