Does anyone know when and if her autobiography will ever be released? I've seen many many release dates on amazon.com for the past 3 years or so. Her official website isn't very forthcoming with a date either. Thanks!

She is extremely busy cause I asked her about her book. She has to dialysis 5 times a day because she lost both of her kidneys from heavy cocaine use. You should see and read her website she was told she had 3 days to live she nearly went blind and deaf from doing so much coke..but believe me I wanna read that book!!!!

I've been to her website denisematthews.com a few times & i've emailed her. She never emailed me back which i was disappointed about. I was a big fan of her's when i was a kid in the early 80's. I love The Last Dragon & Action Jackson movies. I got Action Jackson on videotape. My brother's foster kid watched Action Jackson with me a few weekends ago because he had never saw it. He kept talkin about how fine Vanity is & he was asking me who she is. I told him who she was & he said damn she's fine. I gave him a little history on her saying she used to be a singer & she was doing drugs for a long time. I think the reason Vanity didn't email me back is because i brought up her past saying how much of a fan iam of her's from back in the day. I think she doesn't like to be reminded of her past cause the past was a bad time for her because she was on drugs so heavy. I read a old article about her in Vibe magazine a few years ago talkin about how she got in the entertainment industry. She said when she first met Prince, he asked her if he could wear her jacket & he wanted to follow her to the bathroom hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Prince is a weird dude. What kind of game is that to introduce yourself to a woman?

I liked her movies Last Dragon and Action Jackson and I liked the beat (not so much the lusty lyrics) of her song Nasty Girl. I think the reason she might not have emailed the person above back is because she might have been ill at the time or just hasn't gotten a chance to email the person back. I was surprised to hear the she was divorced from that football player guy. I was also surprised to find out excessive coke can cause you to lose your kidneys! I remember years ago she said that Prince took her virginity. I think Prince was a weirdo. Appollonia said in a article that Prince would only drink tea and eat candy and everyone around him in his band and everything had to eat and drink the same. She also said that he made everyone around him dress like him. Also, after reading a book on Michael Jackson, there were reports that Prince sent Michael a weird birthday present with feathers all over it. It never stated in J.Randy Taborelli's book what it was exactly, but Michael thought it was some kind of voodoo gift being sent to him. In the 'Bad' video when Michael said 'your bird is mine' and grabbed his crotch, it was in reference to Prince and Prince said he knew it was in reference to him. Strangely enough, Mike named both of his sons Prince.

Well, whatever it was, bird or butt, Prince is quoted in the book as saying he knew Michael was talking about him. Mike named his kids prince cause he's the king of pop? C'mon!

I can't remember the exact name of the book based on Michael Jackson's life, but I can tell you that it was written by the authorized biographer of the Jackson Clan. His name is Randy J. Taborelli. I hope I spelled his name correctly. I actually think Taborelli has written a handful of books on the Jackson family. This book had a black and white photo of Mike from his 'I'm Bad' days and on the cover Mike looked like he was singing or on stage, but it's only a head shot. The book was really good. It even mentioned a love child Joe Jackson had with a woman he cheated on Katharine with. There's a picture of her and she looks just like Joe Jackson!

And all this time, I thought I was on Vanity's message board? I just wanted to know what was up with her since the last time I heard anything about her, she had found Jesus and was keeping herself clean. Oh well

I'd recommend checking out DanceMusicSexRomance by Per Nilsen. The book covers the life of Prince from his first recording sessions in 1977 to 1987. Interesting book with lots of insider info and interviews with friends, family and band members of Prince. They also mention Vanity a lot, and how she met Prince the break-up and troubles she had in her group Vanity 6, and Vanity's relation with Prince in general and more.
There are also stories about Prince meeting Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Stevie Nicks and many others.
