And I'm related to Irving Pincus on my mother's side and Max Terhune on my father's side.

Life can be a comedy or a tragedy, it all depends on how you look at it.

          Hello Tina,
Am watching The Big Sleep right now and came to see who played the pretty Carmen.. Your Mom was a real beauty. You've probably long since found a copy of the movie you were looking for, but if not, there is a copy available on ioffer.com.
I guess it's like looking at clouds. You see one thing and I see another. Peace.

            Tina,
It's been a long time. Sarah is now 17, Lyon is 15. My email address is CSGrafix@aol.com
I hope you have been happy and well. We still live in New Jerseygoing on 12 years now. The Blue Saloon seems a foggy past.
Sorry if I'm stirring up any old ghost's.
You may be wondering how I got here. Well, I've been perusing my old camcorder tapes that I stumbled upon in a box and found performances by MD Hall, Michael Barton, Hunter, Les (the bartender doing Suspicious Minds), Jimmy Vivino, Skip Van Winkle. Also cameo's by Boog, Steve (at the end of the bar with a name plate) Ram and I can hear your voice cheering but no images on film.
Anyway, I remembered your Mom is Martha Vickers and gave it a shot.
I have to admit I smiled when I saw TINAROJAS-1.

Just recently saw The Big Sleep for the first time, and loved Martha's performance as Carmenmore even than Bacall's performance.

Tonight they are doing a tribute to Lauren Bacall on TCMand although I'm not a super fan of hers, the first movie I thought of was The Big Sleepand the second thing I thought of was when Carmen comes down the stairs to Bogartshe's so cute! I saw this j1c84ust a few years ago when I was a teen.and hopped online to see more information about her. I'd love to know more about her and see more of her films.
When I saw her IMDB picture, I was struck again by her face all over againreally glamorous! Not everyone has a face you'd voluntarily choose to look at! LOL 🙂

                    Hi, Tina
I'm watching "The Time, the Place and the Girl" right now on TCM, and I hope you knew about it and were able to set your DVR. Such a great cast, and two hours of fun!
Your mom sure was a doll, and a very enjoyable and talented actress. When she said "You're cute" to Humphrey Bogart in The Big Sleep, that was one of the most adorable movie moments ever.

                      Hey, Ashogo,
You might well be Stephen Bogart. He's out there, right here in a small town in New Jersey, as a matter of fact, writing and producing. Why does it seem so unlikely to you that Martha Vickers' daughter wants a remembrance of her mother and thinks fans might provide it?

A shame she left us so soon. One of my favorites is "The Big Sleep" I heard of the movie you mentioned, but 5b4have never seen it. I will search also. My mother was a fan of hers. She'd watch anything your mother was in. Again, Too young and talented to have gone from the screen.

I am thinking, thinking she was one of the most beautiful women ever on film.
                          Good Luck Tina.

Don't know if you'll receive this or not, but I thought I'd give it a try. I see that your 60th birthday is coming up so I wanted to be the first to send you my warmest wishes in time for your special day. Have only seen your mother in The Big Sleep once and have never forgotten how beautiful she looked then - but I've no doubt that there was FAR more to her than just her physical attractiveness. She was undoubtedly charming, kind and intelligent too. It is SUCH a shame that she passed away so young - because you were at a very crucial age then. I haven't seen your mother in very much aside from The Big Sleep - only an episode of Perry Mason, as I recallperhaps the two episodes of The Rebeland I think I saw her in one of the films where she was billed as Martha MacVicar, but don't remember exactly which one. In any case, I've no doubt that The Time, the Place and the Girl was a MUCH bigger showcase for her talents, since it was not just a minor role. I'd like to see it myself sometime. (SIGH!) I can only imagine YOUR happiness at seeing it. 🙂 Seeing your smile, I'd be happy too. Best wishes to you, Tinawherever you are! from Ken an admirer of both your mother and you

I just saw Martha Vickers in an episode of "The Whistler". What a great old show and Martha is beautiful and a darn good actress. The writing was superb for this episode and the whole series. There is always a twist at the end.
