RIP: Teddy Rooney dies at 66

We are saddened to report that Teddy Rooney, the son of Mickey Rooney and the late actress Martha Vickers passed away last night. He was 66 years old.
Our deepest condolences to his children Shannon and Dominique, and wife Carol, along with his sisters Kelly, Kerry, Kim, Jonelle and brothers Mickey Jr. and Michael. His brother Tim passed away in 2006 He is also survived by his step-brother Dan Kessel.
Teddy was a great help to us in the writing of our book, despite his illness. He was fine actor (Andy Hardy Comes Home, It Happened to Jane) and a world class musician.
Teddy nearly replaced Davy Jones on The Monkee's tv show during a dispute as Ted( along with brothers Timmy and Mickey Jr. -The Rooney Brothers)were under contract to Columbia as recording artists.
