Robert Walker Jr. guest starred in "Charlie X", an original Star Trek episode as a teenager marooned on a planet without corporial lifeforms. When he is rescued by an Earth ship, the extraordinary powers he has learned from the non-corporial lifeforms becomes too much for the crew of the Starship Enterprise to handle, and so he is returned to the planet where he grew up without any human contact. Mr. Walker carries this difficult role off with ease and by the end of the episode you cannot help but feel compassion for his character Charlie Evans. He was also excellent in "The War Wagon" as Billy Hyatt, town drunk and explosives expert. I hope Mr. Walker will continue his acting career on the big screen. imdb.com reports he has retired from acting. He had a lot of problems growing up in the movie industry, like many actors from acting families. But when you consider his performances on TV and in the movies, it is obvious that he is a great actor who has had more than his shar5b4e of tragedy. I wish Mr. Walker all the success - he deserves it.
