Weight/Muscle Gain?

I enjoyed Walker's work on "Oz," but kind of lost track of him these last few years. I see that he's been working consistently, but I do not watch many of the programs on which he has appeared.
I was delighted to see him appear as Ed Romeo on "Lights Out" and I'm hoping that his run on that show is longer than two episodes. I found his character to be genuinely interesting. I like the fact that Lights' daughters and wife are so drawn to him likely because they can sense the ulterior motives that Lights' father, brother and sister have and are thankful that Romeo seems to genuinely care for Lights, even offering to forego a paycheck if it means keeping Lights on his training schedule.
One of the things that struck me about Walker is that he seems to be a much bigger man on "Lights Out" than he was on Oz. You actually looks quite a bit younger, too. I figured either that he had gaine2000d weight/muscle for the role on "Lights Out" or kept weight off as part of his tenure on "Oz."
But then tonight I saw him appear in "The Company Men." Again, looking at least 10 years younger than he did on "Oz." What a great presence he had in this movie. The whole audience (about ten of us) cheered and clapped when he turned out to be the guy that Kevin Costner's character hired (apologize if I'm giving too much away). It wasn't even set up as a big cheer moment I think a lot of people in my audience just kind of loved him and his positive outlook right away and were happy to see him with a job (albeit probably not what he wants to do as a career).
But once again, I noticed that he appears to be very big and muscular in this film. But moreso, in a couple of shots, it looked like he might have some overdeveloped chest muscles. They almost looked a bit feminine in one or two shots. It seems likely that "The Company Men" was probably filmed just before or just after "Lights Out," so I'm not surprised that he looks the same in both works. But does anyone know if he does a lot of weight/gym work, is dealing with a medical issue of some kind or if this just always has been his look.
