Berlin Police investigates Pink Floyd Co-founder Roger Waters
Former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters was repeatedly accused of anti-Semitism.
In mid-May he gave two concerts in Berlin.
Now the police investigates whether Waters could've glorified the Nazi regime with his clothes.
Police spokesman Martin Halweg told rbb on Friday that investigations had been started for evidence of Waters' stage clothing at a concert in Berlin on May 17, 2023.

According to their own statements, the police pursues indications that the musician's stage clothing is intended to violate the dignity of victims of National Socialism or to glorify, relativize or legitimize the Nazi regime.
State Security now checks the allegations, said Halweg. After the evidence has been viewed, the matter will be passed on to the prosecution, who'll decide how to proceed.
At the Berlin concert, Roger Waters wore a long, black leather coat and a red bandage with crossed hammers on a white background on his left upper arm. Videos circulating on Twitter [twitter.com] also show him holding a mock submachine gun and then
"firing"
it with sound effects. Next to him are two men with helmets resembling those worn by Wehrmacht soldiers.

It's not the first time Waters has sported such attire. In a music video uploaded eight years ago Rogers wears an identical-looking coat with epaulets and tie. The piece of music to which Waters wore the mantle is called
"In the Flesh"
and is part of the rock opera
"The Wall"
. Waters has always emphasized that
"The Wall"
is a statement against war and fascism. The protagonist Pink, played by Bob Geldof in the film, is drugged up at this point in the story and believes he is a fascist leader.
The 79-year-old former Pink Floyd member was repeatedly accused of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic statements. He's a member of the BDS movement (

anctions against Israel), which the Bundestag classified as anti-Semitic.
At concerts, the singer also released pig-shaped balloons with a Star of David.
The pig was still there at his previous concerts in Germany - but without the Star of David.
In addition, Waters is positive about the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.

Yes, there's much guilt on our shoulders with the Holocaust.
About 6 Mio Jews killed…men, women, children.
Many more Jews were made their lives miserable.
I saw the horrible pictures of the concentration camps first time at the age of 5…shocked.
Well, I don't feel guilty, I didn't harass or kill any Jew myself.
But I'm very ashamed of this darkest chapter of our history.
Therefore.
NEVER AGAIN!!!
And everything I can do to stop anti-Semitism I will do. -

Roger was and is anit-fascism.
It's what the Wall is all about and he was there to celebrate the Berlin wall being torn down with a live concert version of the movie.
If you have a problem with that then you need to look in the mirror.
Ask yourself what it is you are supporting.
Your party is corrupt and leading you into doing exactly what you say you're against.
It's a no brainer that the Fascist party are the ones attacking him now.
You're on the Nazi side if you're against him.
He's mocking them and what they stood for.

That's pretty obvious to anyone who has ever listened to the album or seen the movie. It's quite the opposite of glorification, it's satire and a critique of fascism.
Death in June's Rose Clouds of Holocaust LP is banned in Germany and it's not even about "the Holocaust" but the title alone is too controversial. The rock band KISS had to change their logo on German pressings of their albums because of the Nazi-style "SS" in their name. Two members of the band are Jewish. This gets so silly.
If you want music that glorifies fascism try Skrewdriver or Störkraft instead. -

Death in June's Rose Clouds of Holocaust LP is banned in Germany and it's not even about "the Holocaust" but the title alone is too controversial. The rock band KISS had to change their logo on German pressings of their albums because of the Nazi-style "SS" in their name. Two members of the band are Jewish. This gets so silly.
