First of all, you are basing things on what Lindelof said. They have blamed an actress for their mistake before and they got called on it. Second, Lost is not the be all end all of film/television work in Hollywood. If she did in fact turn down another guest appearance, it's her right. Remember, one has to go to Hawaii.
The obvious reason it's ridiculous to say that she "got all touchy about her character getting killed off" is that she DID return two years later to film for the show. This is after they killed her character off. -

you know what's funny? i read this ten minutes ago, saw your username, wondered what it was about, if it was a Lost reference (i've only seen the first 2 seasons) left the board, started watching the premiere of season 3 and BAM, within the first 5 minutes juliet burns her muffins and everything made sense!

Seriously people? She came back to Lost for a guest appearance in season 4 (Meet Kevin Johnson) and they did nothing with her. She has to make a living and doing 30 second guest appearances in Lost isn't going to help her career at all or pay the bills. Maybe she's just busy with other things and couldn't commit to coming back for an extended cameo. Damon and Carlton have even said that her backstory isn't even all that interesting or integral to the show. I'd rather have them moving the plot forward then spending every episode explaining things like where Jack got his tattoos, that ultimately add little to the show.
here is a link of Damon and Carlton talking about it a little:

That story took place that beginning of Season 3, with no strike going on, that was the period in which they were desperately seeking an end date, so that they wouldn't be stuck having to make up stuff for 10 years to stretch the series out, they wanted to get to their ending as soon as possible, which they celebrated by killing off nikki and paolo and they continue to make fun of themselves for having that in the show to begin with. The whole reason they were on the show is because ABC the network wanted two hot people to bring in the superficial vain crowd.
She didn't have time to film with them except for that scene, and it was better than nothing, Michael was going to die, and one of the people he took out was waiting for him. That's pretty creepy. Also the writers strike happened which caused them to only air the first 8 episodes of Season 4, as they had only written enough for those episodes, after which they went back to writing and finished up the rest of the season a couple months after.
Know your Lost at least. -

Well she's appeared on the Season 6 poster and will return in some capacity. Everyone except for Shannon is doing the last season, apparently she was too busy filming some other stuff despite IMDB showing them as being done and the others in post production, perhaps she's not done with those projects.

Hopefully all the people who bagged on her for the rumors of her not coming back, will now congratulate her for returning after all.

Is it true she made a stink about Libby's fate?
This reminds me of when Harold Perrineau played the race card about Michael's fate, saying that the writer's were just doing another story about absentee black fathers and disliking the treatment of black characters in generally, etc etc etc. I was disgusted by the remarks, considering that Michael was brought back at all to show extreme remorse and then redeem himself through self-sacrifice.
But, at the same time, this didn't show
at all
in his performance of season four episodes. So despite the fact that I feel he was immature in post-production, it speaks volumes about his talent as an actor and professionalism that he played his part (damn well!) despite major disagreement and misgivings about what that part had become.
