This is why I hate the internet

Feminists are hateful.
Lumping them altogether is part of the same issue you speak out against.
It's essentially tribalism and it's perhaps unavoidable with people (if history is any guide).
Feminists can be hateful, just as Christians can - just as a mail carrier can - just as a green eyed person can - these are only groups because we need to catalog things in our mind to keep track, put a label on it & file it away for future reference.
The problem isn't a particular group, but just people in general. We are animals. We are aggressive. And those suppressing their aggression the most will unleash it in other, strange ways. Just like a sexually repressed person will develop strange sexual fetishes, wires get crossed. -

Repression doesn't work, but aggression doesn't have to stay, either. Remaining silent in the face of oppression and bias is like giving a tacit agreement that what is happening is ok. People get aggressive when they feel threatened. So, those speaking out need to do so without hate themselves, without attacking. -

This hate pile-on plus death threats phenomenon is hardly exclusive to feminism. It's all over the damn internet, it's indeed why I hate the internet myself but don't come and claim it's only feminists who do it cause I call beep on that.
There are retarded trolls everywhere in the world, in every class and group of people apparently and this hate phenomenon on the internet is just proving b68it -

The Internet is meaningless in this case. No one cares what trolls think. Joss has delivered three of the greatest films in genre history (Serenity, Avengers, AoU) and that's all that matters. It's like winning a World Series or Super Bowl and then getting jeered the following season in opposing stadiums. Who really cares? Marvel and Joss are above such things. A large majority love his work.

I dont get the hate of feminism on the internet. If you hate feminism as an idea, you obviously hate women.
And no, just because you know ONE feminist that said something stupid doesnt mean every other feminist has the same opinion.
What I really wonder: can any of these "I hate feminism" types even name three important historical feminists ? I doubt they can. Thats how little they actually know about the field.

I respect feminism in its traditional meaning: equality, opportunity, and fairness. It was and remains necessary in culture. However, this postmodern feminist movement, the one spearheaded by social justice warriors eager to write a poorly-argued puff piece for attention, that crucified Joss Whedon among others, someone whom everyone knows to be a feminist champion, is hardly about that at all. It's about sewing division and mistrust and absolutely working to poison gender relations. It's nauseating, abhorrent and completely perverting what feminism is supposed to be.
