Cordelia and Faith are exceptions because they didn't fit his stereotypical outlook on female heroines. Also, I doubt he had much of a hand on their overall development once they moved on to Angel anyway.

There are a lot of females in the world that would disagree wholeheartedly.

"some kind of pariah for women"
            Pariah: noun

            1. a social outcast
What you have stated makes no sense. If anything, "champion", effectively the opposite of "pariah", would best reflect his public image. Or possibly "male feminist."
Unfortunately his brand of feminism is the lazy variety that pervades the media, regardless of which sex is creating it. The allegedly strong female lead characters that he writes only appear strong when compared to their ridiculously flawed (stupid, violent, sex-crazed, etc.) male rivals. This sort of pandering leads to the attitude among women of "I'm fine, no need to improve myself, it's the men who are the problem."
It's the perfect trap to keep women weak - stroke their egos by telling them they are perfect the way they are. No need to pursue self-improvement. Disney (whose purse Joss resides in) has it down to a formula by brainwashing girls to believe they are princesses at a very young age.

I just wish that whole feminism fad would die out and fast.
You know your movement is fighting to stay relevant when you have to put celebs on the spot by asking them a feminism related question and if they respond even in the slightest positive way you label them a feminist.
The question he got asked would mostly make people roll their eyes. But since he was a celebrity and his career revolves on being liked, which means jumping on whatever bandwagon has the majority opinion they have to respond favorably.

Quotes like these are why I'm glad they're still fighting strong.

So we need feminism because people disagree with feminism?
Go on, apply that logic to anything else. Then you'll quickly see how moronic that is. But then again, feminists are known for having the logic of a 5 year old.
Hey guys, we need nazism because no one agrees with it. See? That's essentially the logic you have.
Feminism is obsolete in America. There's not one right men have that women do not. At this point we can only assume they want favoritism and special treatment and not equality.
Ironically it'll end up biting women in the ass big time. Remember when women got a taste of 'equality' that didn't benefit them? It was the law making women draftable. Needless to say tons of women complained, some even laughably said "This isn't what I meant by equality" It was epic and priceless. Feminism has already started having negative impacts on women, which tends to happen when your goal has been achieved decades ago.
To date not a single feminist has been able to answer this one, simple question without either being flat out wrong or going off topic. That question is: What rights do men have that women do not?

So we need feminism because people disagree with feminism?
Exactly. Because there are people who still seem to think women fighting for equality is an annoyance.
At this point we can only assume they want favoritism and special treatment and not equality.
No. It only feels like that because men have been dominating them for centuries. Naturally any upward movement would feel like favoritism to them.
That question is: What rights do men have that women do not?
That's the same question whites would ask blacks during segregation. Now that's priceless.
Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

So basically, you just reaffirmed my stance on you having beep logic and then you turned around and proved me right by being unable to answer a simple question.
We really don't even need to counter feminists or argue with them. You peeps do a good job rendering any chance of ever being taken seriously all on your own. The blatant hypocrisy, bias, double standards and of course putting your feet in your mouths every other sentence is working out quite nicely for everyone. Please continue.
