Joss needs to stick to entertaining me. I don't care and neither should the average audience member about his thoughts on current politics. He's at comic con introducing a panel and turns it into a political bash against Donald Trump. We don't need your commentary to know Donald Trump is stupid and not in touch with the American people. Please Donald Trump can run for president but get real he won't win. Make a DC comic book movie to make people like DCs comic book characters beyond Superman and Batman!!!
"dont be intellectual and relevant"
"be superficial and vapid"ignores fact that most political sentiments dont exist in isolation and originate from personal philosophies which one would expect an artist to portray in their works

Donald Trump is a gift to Democrats. Joss Whedon should love Trump since he gave the Democrats an easy 2016 victory. Hillary would have been in a dogfight against the other candidates and was losing in the polls to Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich. Instead she will win double digits. Every Democrat should thank the Trump primary voters. You may hate who they are, but nobody worked harder for a Clinton victory than they did.

I respect that Joss is using his position to try and keep this country safe. Donald Trump as President would be one of the worst disasters for this country; he could fell our financial system, and create an even more dangerous world with his reckless rhetoric, and impulsive behavior. And, if you don't think he could win (I realize your original post was written over a year ago), you're wrong. Assumption is the mother of all F ups, and the polls show that Hillary is only ahead by about 6 points in the latest
MSNBC/Wall Street Journal Poll
. Some of the swing state votes have tightened considerably. It is frightening to see how many ignorant, hateful people there are in this country, people with whom Trump's parlor games resonate.
I refer to Edmund Burke's famous quote:
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
To assume Trump can't, or won't win, is foolish. If we operate under that assumption, and do 16d0nothing to ensure that he never sits in the Oval Office, he will be sitting there come January. I'm 45, and while every election has a lasting impact on our future as a nation, this is the most important election of my lifetime. Everybody needs to exercise their right to vote. We cannot let this demagogue win the Presidency.

Wrong on all counts. Trump is the last thing that can save our country from complete destruction.

Ridiculous post.
Clinton is a FAR bigger danger than Trump. PS I dislike Trump too. IMO the guy's a complete wanker, but compared to Clinton he is far, far less dangerous for the following reasons.
1/
Hillary has a much worse foreign policy record than the Donald
TBF we don't really know what his is, but he was against the Iraq War (though only after it started, but still it was not long after it)
He also has expressed interest in working with Russia and Assad in taking on Isis and has already struck up amicable relations with Putin and other world leaders.
Now I am not fan of Assad either. He is a ruthless dictator but sadly the way Syria is now a ruthless dictator is the better option as it is a step closer to secularism. Getting rid of Assad is what Isis who are a bigger danger want. It will be another Iraq War, Libya type of situation where the country is shattered to bits and Islamic extremism is allowed to rise.
Hillary Clinton meanwhile has in the past voted in favour of the war with Iraq, voted in favour of a war with Iran (which even the most Hawkish Republicans were against. When one of them told her he was ashamed of her for voting for it she laughed in his face!) She also played the key role in the disasters in Libya and Honduras and she laughed with sheer sadistic glee when Gaddaffi was dragged through the streets and tortured to death!
"WE CAME, WE SAW, HE DIED!"
She has also in the past threatened to totally obliterate Iran and said that she intends to create a no fly zone over Syria. Both of these things risk a full scale war with Russia which could potentially lead to WW3 with Russia, Iran and China on one side and America on the other.
Plus she plans to topple Assad which again is another Iraq/Libyan crisis and will surely allow Isis to grow in strength.
Plus people go on about Trumps rhetoric? Hillary has told Putin he has no soul, and compared him to Hitler!
The world is closer to a full scale global conflict than ever before. China, and Russia's relations with America are very poor and all have atomic weapons aimed at each other. And you want to put a woman with the most appalling war record in charge of America at this point?
2/
She is mentally and physically unwell
Hillary Clinton has had a number of seizures in public, not to mention multiple coughing fits, she has had to have people help her get up a flight of stairs, and into a f^cking van! And this is before we get to her fits of uncontrollable laughter and her freezing on stage a few times including one instance where her handler had to come over and help her get through it.
3/
She is a sexist
Its funny that people go on about Trump being a vile sexist because he made some crass remarks about women's looks. Okay I don't like that but Hillary Clinton has said that women are the victims of war as they lose their fathers, children, and husbands.
Imagine if Donald Trump had said something like that, "when a woman dies in childbirth her husband is the real victim as he has to raise their child alone". You would all want his head. Hillary also said she intends for women to be always be believed when they make accusations of rape which is a disasterous policy.
Yes women should be listened to but they should only be believed if their case has any proof, the same with any crime. Here is a good vid Christina Hoff Sommers did n Clintons hypocrisy
Hillary is once again being a lying opportunist. She silenced, even possibly killed women that her husband Bill raped yet has milked the woman/feminist card for all its worth.

She has an abysmal political record
People may go on about Trump being inexperienced but -

AND she seems to be hell bent on getting into some sort of confrontational conflict with Putin and Russia. Not a very wise thing to want to do with a country that possesses the enormous amount of nuclear weaponry and arsenal that Russia has right in its very grasp. At least Trump has the sense to say that we really shouldn't try and make a heated enemy out of Russia and instead to make some sort of conscience effort to work alongside them, rather than maintaining the ever growing antagonistic attitude towards both countries that Clinton very much appears to want to continually push on with. And this antagonistic attitude that Clinton continues to show towards Russia could eventually spiral completely out of control and put us all in the very worst position imaginable.
