Logans Run was an "obscure little film"? Umm, not really.
It was a big hit when it came out, was nominated for three Oscars (winning one), spawned a short-lived TV series, and is in the process of being remade in 3D by Joel Silver. -

Logan's Run was really a fairly big deal simply because Farrah Fawcett appeared. So many people wanted to see her in a film that a fairly unimpressive movie became more than it was because of her.

Dystopian films were all the rage in the late 60s - early 70s, and Logan's Run was one of the cheezier of that genre but still very watchable.

Exactly Cox went on to be a Playboy Playmate (which is, ahem, what I remember her for).
Not sure how anyone could mistake her for Wheeler, it's not that close
