Sure for some, but not me.yeah they're a pain sometimes, but everyone is from time to time.my oldest has behavioral issues, and we've had to switch schools because of this.but when she gives me a big hug and a kiss and says "I love you daddy".I wouldn't exchange that for Betty White's money.money help you pay bills and get nicer things, but it won't make you feel better.

Money makes me feel awesome!!! So does not having any brats
I second that.
I don't HATE children, but I sure do not want any of my own.
And to those who find this insulting, just remember: Not only is parenting not for everyone, but if everyone who had a child was a good parentthere wouldn't be millions of child abuse reports every year.
Its best to truly think things over before having children. They change everything in your life.forever.

Why would anyone would want them?
Because it continues the human race.
Last time I checked, there were about 7 billion people on this planet. Pretty sure there will be no problems with continuing the human race.
The goal of marriage is no longer to have children. Maybe it was, thousands of years ago. Jeez, people. Betty had stepchildren. LOTS of couples get married because they love each other, not because they wanna bring children into the world.

The earlier commenters had wondered why ANYONE would want children. If NO ONE had children, that WOULD be a problem. (As American Dad! Stan Smith said about there being no more children, "Future generations will thank us!")
But of course, as you say, there are still billions who DO have 'em. Not necessarily the cream of the crop, unfortunately. -

So true. Many people who can't afford or shouldn't be having kids are having kids. It's been shown that the poorer a person is the more kids they have, which they of course can't financially afford. The poorer the country, the higher their fertility rate.
In my case, I am the only 31 year old woman who doesn't have kids. All of my neighbors my age have kids, 99% of the girls I went to high school with has kids, I'm one of the very few who hasn't reproduced yet. -

I think the reason she still works is that it keeps her alive mentally and psychologically. Many people feel like they die inside when they have to retire.
And I think it's wonderful to be still sought after when one is 90. -

This woman is NOT doing this because she's lonely- now THAT is a stereotype. She's doing what she loves. She also loves animals. Why is it that she can have a 60+ year career, and you think thatb68 her worth is only on procreating?
