you're nave thinking that Viagra commercials are for 70 and above people, now that is stupid and ignorant. you are really stupid. this moral is universal because it's people spending time with other people who are in the same immediate family.

She obviously loves working so why not? It makes more sense to spend your life doing what you enjoy rather than stay home and be miserable. She always looks like she's having a ball when she's on talk shows. I know that I enjoy watching her.

If we're really going to get into this. "should have" is correct, not "should of." "Should have" is commonly abbreviated as "should've," which sounds like "should of," but that doesn't make "should of" correct.

not true. things change, words change and when something gets used enough it changes to a word and so has happened with should of. people became too lazy to use should have so then should of became correct grammar.

You lost me man at "It's pathetic." It's not "pathetic" for Betty to keep on doing what she loves while she still can, we don't know how often she sees her family or her relationship with them to comment on anything she does regarding them, I think it's great that she's still up and working

this whole notion about retiring and spending time with family in your old age? Well her late husband and true love, Allen Ludden passed away in 1981, so their is nobody to grow old with. She had no children of her own. However, she was a stepmother to her late husband's children, who should all be in their mid to late 70's and have their own life, etc So she's an Animal Activist and working Actress
Staying ACTIVE keeps you alive and why shouldn't elderly people be represented in tv and movies like everybody else: Blacks, Latinos, Asians, Gays, Transgender, etc - everybody has a story worth telling.

First, Betty White is a widow and she has no children. She has a love for animals. There is lots of proof that staying active, and in her case, learning lines and scripts keeps her brain and memory in tune. When people stop learning, stop reading, stop working in general they deteriorate. I'm not saying she doesn't have loved ones I know she has step children she keeps in touch with but she is also an only child, has no nieces or nephews. She has lived a full life though, no doubt. My friend's mother is 91 and mows her own lawn- she tries to do stuff like that to keep mobile and active. It is true though that Betty is likely starting to exhibit signs of being in her 90s but she has certainly been more active than most people her age. She's not in a wheelchair (like Nancy Reagan) so her continuing to work and act has no doubt played a role in her health and mobility at 94.
