My favorite is Don't Worry Baby. That is just so damn beautiful. Heavenly. Sweet. Everything that is good. That song just blows me away. Their most gorgeous song by far.

Probably because it's too perfect - and knowing that life is far from perfect to a genius most of all, let alone to anyone else - I go with the idea that it's Brian Wilson's attempt to match The Ronettes / Spector's 'Be my baby' and that, as such, there are quirkier and still melodic examples of Brian Wilson's genius. Wonderful from Smile might be my choice. Or, in a darker mood, Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder). But I really like the period piece fun of On a Holiday, from Smile.
