I'm British myself and I've basically only seen him play American villains in Lethal Weapon 3 and No Escape and always thought he was an American.

I just saw him in "Second Sight" and was surprised to hear his British accent as well!

Just watched a Sherlock Holmes episode and thought he looked familiar underneath a thick tash.
I always thought he was american knowing him only from movies such as The Rock and Lethal Weapon 3.
        Quite a surprise.

Apparently, you guys never saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. I always knew he was British, beacuse he has a British accent in that.

He was and are a Brit. The man just can do many accents. Mind you, he is a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and if you are lucky you can see the guy on stage from time to time. I hope to.

There was a time in the 1970s when he played a villain in every british crime drama.
                Its that man again!!

I remember him playing one of the leads in The Strauss Family in the early 70s-quite a romantic character-he was very handsome.
Check his IMDB status, he's had a very long and varied career, so I guess some of you must be very young not to know of his earlier work before the action films.

He was particularly handsome as Vronsky in 1977's Anna Karenina.

Watch him in 'I, Claudius' (one of the best miniseries of all time). A small part but his "British-ness" comes out to be sure!
