Why are people against her being with Marilyn Manson?

Marilyn Manson can and does act like a fool, talking about harming himself every time he thought of her after they broke up isn't intelligent, it's idiotic.

Well this does not help his case unfortunately:
When rage-fueled shock rock has long since faded into the tapestry of embarrassing has-been fads, theres not a lot of places left for Marilyn Manson to go. So naturally, we really shouldnt be too surprised when his latest video features him beating a doppelganger of his ex-girlfriend (actress Evan Rachel Wood) to death with his bare hands.

Woah, I've been a fan of Manson for a few years now and that video is, from what I can think of at the moment, the only think he's done in his career that has legitimately bothered me.
It's a really good song but that video is beep up.
I was perfect. -

My ears are bleeding.
So funny, some drip in another thread about Evan going out with him claimed I'm a Manson fanboy. I'd never even heard his music before. I only know about him from being interviewed in a music doco where he comes across as highly intelligent, and in SoA where his acting is cringeworthy. Really good fanboy! -

anyone who sees someone as tarnished from a years past relationship, especially observed through TV or hearsay, is a superficial narrow-minded moron who no sensible person would want to get involved with anyway.

He's a Satanist, not a Devil worshiper. Satanists don't worship the devil. They're atheists who's mommies and daddies didn't give them enough attention so they create a cult together.

That depends. There's what's called a LaVeyan atheist, who would fit the mold described in your second sentence. Unsure of where Brian Warner fits inlet's just say he has severe anger management issues most likely stemming from drug and alcohol abuse.

Because people felt this Miss Goody Two-Shoes was tarnished by an ugly goth rock freak. I have to admit, it was a bit out of the blue. She didn't give the impression that she would go for a "type" like that. But I'm pretty sure it was just a confusing period in her life.

I'm a big fan of Manson, mostly his 90s work anyway, but that guy is a complete alcoholic and is letting himself go. When you see someone who has potential shacking up with someone who has obviously given up it's natural to want the former to part ways with the latter.
Manson had a ton of creativity and potential but for the last 13 years he's been pumping out garbage, gaining weight and drinking himself into irrelevancy. I hope he turns his life around, but as for Evan Rachel Wood, I couldn't care less about her but I can completely understand people thinking she's better off without Manson.
Last but not least, I have heard a lot of accounts that point to Manson being abusive both psychologically and physically. You don't dress and act and write the way he does without having issues, and a lot of what he says and does is violent and perverse. Like I said, I'm a fan of his work, but he's obviously a tortured soul and probably not the best relationship partner, especially for someone as young as she is.

Y'all might not find this funny, but generally when people say things like, "Oh, Manson's a junkie?"; "Oh, Manson's abusive?"; "Who da beep is Marilyn Manson?", it just reminds me how old I am. But, in the case of the young posters on this forum, I was prepared for the "generation gap". See, we used to take turns bringing CDs to work; I brought a Marilyn Manson one. A co-worker said to me, "Woah. Who is that?". I couldn't comprehend this, because - as anyone 30 or older can tell you - Marilyn Manson was a HUGE pop culture icon for years, starting with their 3rd single & video. According to Manson [sorry if this is getting confusing, but for those of you that don't know, "Marilyn Manson" is Brian Warner's stage name AND the name of the musical group which he is the lead singer of], they had so many covers, remixes, and other "sonic projects" for the above mentioned single, that instead of releasing their 3rd single by the
name of the single,
Dope Hat
, it was named
Smells Like Children
, and the video released from this EP
also
wasn't the actual 3rd single, but another song, a cover of the Eurythmics track
Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)
.
Their second album was
Antichrist Superstar
, which had the huge single
The Beautiful People
. But, as lotsofevil said, "I'm a big fan of Manson, mostly his 90s work anyway, but that guy is a complete alcoholic and is letting himself go." My only addition would be that he's a massive cokehead as well. That, and the Wikipedia entry for Marilyn Manson's 3rd trip to Edmonton had absolutely NONE of the paraphernalia/stage design described in the article. And no, there wasn't
different
decor there was
NOTHING
on the stage, except for the 5 musicians, a girl that stood near the rear of the stage, handing Manson water bottles every time he beckoned her, and Manson's 3 chins and big ol' gut. Other than that, white lights on a 100% white stage. Woo-hoo.
Oh, and my co-worker. I replied, incredulously, "You're serious? You've NEVER heard of Marilyn Manson? When were you born?" "1990" (which made him 22 at the time, and me realizing I was a 35-year old man trying to be a 22-year old).

I'm currently reading his biography and by his own words, he's faaaaaarrrrr from a nice guy. Self-centered, delusional, sadistic, evil are the first things that come to mind.
There must be something inherently psychologically wrong with any woman who would have a long-term relationship with him.
