Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Charlayne Woodard

I absolutely loved Charlayne as Sister Peg on L&O:SVU. I can't remember for sure, but I think her character was killed off, and it bums me out. When I catch her in repeats I am always amazed by how much she brought to the character. Just saying.

If I remember correctly, her character was abducted by some self-proclaimed psychic. I think she was badly beaten, though I don't recall the specifics. At any rate, she definitely wasn't killed off, since her character makes a return in tonight's installment (5/18/2011); however, I'll refrain from spoiling it by mentioning any details regarding her character.

About a year after you posted,
Sister Peg died in the ep titled "Smoked" (12x24, 5.18.11) caught in some crossfire. Extremely sad.
Ms. Woodard is an extraordinary actress who brings depth and wonder to every role. Odd PS: She and Alfre Woodard (no relation) both appear in superb films by John Sayles,
                  Sunshine State
                  and
                  Passion Fish
                  both are must-sees.

                    The episode in which
                    "Sister Peg"
                    was killed, was the only
                    SVU
episode that caused me to shed genuine tears
