I don't think she hated his guts until the day he died. I think they remained distant but understanding friends who shared their children as much as they could.
I don't they wined, secretly about who ruined who's life worse or who waisted more time on the other.
After he died, she said America had lost, not only a president, but a kind and gentleman.
I think they were very mutual friends.

There is also Maureen's sister Christine who lived a day on June 26, 1947. I heard that Jane established a foundation for Christine in her will.
