Were there any Hollywood celebrities at her funeral? Was she on good terms with Nancy Reagan? There isb68 a picture of her and Nancy at President Reagan's funeral on wikipedia.com. Never seen that before.

Oh, good lord no! Nancy Reagan hated Jane Wyman with a passion. She would like Ronnie watch anything on TV with Jane Wyman in it.

For the record Jane Wyman had no great fondness for Nancy (Davis) Reagan but had the good judgement to hold her tongue. She also didn't indulge her disdain by fueling the animosity with backstabbing interviews to an assortment of biographers. In fairness to Nancy it was Jane who was a major film star whose career success greatly overshadowed that of her former husband who she never appeared to regret divorcing. Of course Wyman's greatest dig was having her own career renaissance coincide with her former husband's presidency. You can bet Nancy Reagan never anticipated Wyman's successful return to TV. I would guess the revelation that Wyman was still earning more money than Reagan, having to share spots on the best dressed list with her and watching her collect awards brought back bitter memories of Nancy's early years with Reagan as well as taking some of the joy out of what was supposed to be her time in the sun. Having said that with his extended illness and Maureen Reagan's death it has been rumoured that the bitterness between them diminished. Wyman even spoke to Bob Colacello for his book at the request of Nancy. Nancy Reagan was very fond of Maureen and it was probably Maureen's death, more than anything, that ended the hostility between the two women.

At Maureen's funeral it showed a feeble Jane Wyman walking around a bit Maureen's adopted daughter at her left, and Nancy at her right. So who knows maybe it was just for publicity I do not know but was still sweet to see.

I don't think there was any true hostility between Jane Wyman and Nancy Reagan but you certainly can't expect the first wife and second/current wife of ANY man to be buddy buddy!! There are no reports of either of them badmouthing the other but they certainly weren't pals. They also traveled in different circles.
It has been reported that at Ronald Reagan's request (in the first stages of his disease), Nancy called Jane Wyman to inform her that Reagan had passed away so that she wouldn't have to hear it from a journalist trying t get a quote and catching her off guard. That was a very kind thing for Nancy to do in her grief and Jane equally was kind and graceful enough NOT to show up for Reagan's funeral since that would have made the funeral tabloid fodder.
And yes, Nancy did attend Maureen's funeral and give her respects to Jane, one of the few times they were photographed candidly together.

Actually there are a number of instances in her bitter memoir "My Turn" where Nancy wrote about Jane Wyman. And still even more unfortunate references to Jane in biogrpahical treatments of Mr. Reagan and his second wife where Nancy has made less than generous representations about her. Both Patti and other observers have confirmed that the name Jane Wyman couldn't even be mentioned in front of Nancy. Mr Reagan still had 2 young children with Wyman when he married Nancy and yet their mother's name couldn't even be broached in his house? If Jane was less than fond of Nancy it was for good reasons. In "My Turn" Nancy admits she rebuffed Jane in the early going which set the tone for the future. Jane Wyman was a very principled woman who despite many lucrative financial incentives to go public chose to keep silent. Given the nature of Mr. Reagan's illness there was probably a time when he wanted\expected to see Jane. It is nice that Nancy Reagan was able to see the error of her ways but I wouldn't be handing out any medals for a couple of phone calls.

How rude! Your comments greatly diminish both Jane Wyman and Nancy Reagan. Their personal lives aren't fodder for gossip mongering. You also need to get your facts straight. Miss Wyman's Angela Channing character in Falcon Crest was much more nuanced than to be characterized as an "old crow". And it was on CBS not ABC. If you find it necessary to be rude, you need to know your facts because when you don't you just appear stupid and common.

I agree with Carole's postyou need to check your facts. It wasn't that she just "dumped him," there was way more to it than that. She wanted to further her career, and he wanted to go into politics, she had multiple miscarriages, and there's is more that added up to the Reagan/Wyman ending.

In regard to previous posts: why would it be "touching" to see Jane Wyman and Nancy Reagan arm in arm?
Ms. Wyman and the other one were married to the same man; other than that, nothing in common.
I always admired Jane Wyman for never saying a word about either one of them; unlike the other one who whined constantly throughout her book, including plenty about Jane Wyman.
True Class? Well, yes, at least on Jane Wyman's side.

Also by 2004 Jane hadn't made a public appearance in years, even though it lists her as being interviewed for the 2004 dvd release of Stage Fright, the footage of her was from a 1998 interview. In 2001 at daughter Maureen's funeral hardly recognizable dangerously thin and a very hard time getting around. So I am guessing by 2004 she was probably completely immobile.
