Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Peter Wyngarde

The window scene in "The Innocents"is ,to this day,the most quietly creepy,I've ever scene. Only a very strong actor with loads of charisma could have pulled off the kind of commanding carnal quality that the character of Peter Quint requires.

Wyngarde was a very handsome man in his younger days, and he had a tremendous on-screen charisma. If you haven't seen him in "Night of the Eagle" ("Burn, Witch, Burn" in the US), you should. It a good B&W horror film from the early 60s. Wyngarde's performance is great, and he looks very handsome and is quite sexy. Definitely worth checking out.

I know him from Burn Witch Burn and that got me interested in him. Being from USA, didn't get to see him in much else.
What a shame. His late 1960's early 70's look is about as cool as you can get and his acting skills are never in doubt.
Watching a weekend of The Saint now, hoping he is in an episode.
Also, I get some English comedy shows and his influence is obvious. Garth Marengi is one example.
