Wow, OK (The "actor" has spoken!)
Just so you know, the hand-over-the-face stuff isn't as clichd as you might think; I went through a pretty traumatic experience last year and guess where my hand stayed for a good five minutes or so wrapped across the lower half of my face. Unless you've ever undergone the kind of stress that Kate's character did on a routine basis, I don't think you have the right to blast her on what is / is not an appropriate emotional reaction from the little pedestal you seem to have constructed for yourself there.
Anyway, I really miss Sarah on 24 myself it's a shame they didn't hang onto her because she added quite an interesting dynamic to the show from where I was sitting.
Whoa, hold on mister, you're all over the map! carlton banks -

"I agree! I mean, as an actor I'm greatly offended by her attempts at protraying emotion. It's really, really bad. I mean, seriously, she covers her face with her hand almost every scene she's in once the beep hits the fan. God, so annoying."
Shouldn't some of that be the fault of the director? I mean, outside of George Lucas, most directors don't just sit there without giving feedback. -

I think Sarah did a good job and Kate was an solid character. She was pretty brave doing some of the stuff she did. Obviously she impressed the directors and producers enough to last an entire season. If her acting had bothered them so much, they could have written her off early in the season. Plus, she did an excellent job of doing an American accent. I had no idea she was Australian until I heard the commentary.
