I just saw a preview performance this evening (it officially opens to public tomorrow night). I had never heard of her before, but she was amazing! Her voice was just sensational. Tonight's performance was a final dress rehearsal before tomorrow's opening nightjus2000t to work out any kinks in the production. There was one point where her microphone went out and she just kept right on singing and still sounded gorgeous. I just had to look her up to see what else she's been in.

I saw Rachel York as Guinevere last night in La Mirada. The entire production was wonderful, but her performance alone was worth the price of admission. Her singing voice was reminiscent of Julie Andrews in her prime. I could have listened to her sing all night. Listening to her sing the final refrain of "Camelot" made you understand how King Arthur couldn't help falling in love with her. I couldn't imagine a better performance by anybody in the role of Guinevere.
Anybody out there who lives within driving distance of La Mirada, California, do yourselves a big favor and go see Camelot starring Michael York and Rachel York. -

I just got back from seeing Camelot,
AMAZING.
It was really good. I liked everything about it.
Rachel really made the show.
I'd have to say that the best part of my day was when I MET RACHEL!
I waited at the stage door for her to come out,
and after only 10 minutes, there she was!
She was such a sweetheart. She took the time to autograph my CD writing:
"To Natalie:
May all your dreams come true.
Love & Hugs,
Rachel York"
Then I got a picture with her too.
She's absolutely gorgeous and is the nicest person you'd ever want to meet.
I had such a great experience seeing her today!
