You don't have to be stupid to believe in God. But it helps.

I'm gonna go against popular opinion in saying 'Kill Uncle' is my favourite solo album.

I think Morrissey's best Smiths album was their last one Strange Ways Here We come. I also think Morrissey's best solo album is You Are The Quarry. The lyrics, the symbolism, the issues and the themes of the album is good. It is an excellent album from start to finish. You Are The Quarry is also I think Morrissey's most successful album of his career in terms of record sales.

That's almost impossible, but today I'd say:
The Smiths: The Queen is Dead
              Solo Morrissey: Years of Refusal

The Smiths- The Queen is Dead, definitely, although Hatful of Hollow does have some pretty outstanding songs as well
Solo Morrissey- I love most, however I think I like Vauxhall and I best (Why Don't You Find out For Yourself is amazing)
Saying that, I actually have no full albums right now (just downloads-I know, tut-tut!) so I'm just going on what I've heard.
                  "I'm actually 40% papier mache"
                  -Morrissey

The Smiths- The Queen Is Dead, though I love Strangeways and Louder than Bombs.
Solo- Maybe You Are the Quarry. Nothing on there is as good as the best on Viva Hate (Every Day Is Like Sunday and Suedehead), but there's some real beep on Viva Hate too, in my opinion

With The Smiths, The Queen is Dead. Solo, Your Arsenal. I think all of The Smiths' albums are better than Morrissey solo's best, but I still like a good amount of his solo work.

My favorite Smiths album is "Meat is Murder". And no, I'm not even a vegetarian!
                            My favorite Solo album is
                            Your Arsenal
                            .
But with either of them, it is much easier to name the few tracks that I don't like than to name all of my favorites.
