Princess Caroline's children are indeed beautiful and so is their new aunt Princess Charlene the crown princess. But you must remember that the only reason that the Grimaldis of Monaco are known at all today on an international level is because the beautiful American-born film star Princess Grace married into it and gave it the high profile that it has at present.
The House of Windsor is still the ultimate Royal Family and the most special and important one. All of the royal and noble families of Europe and Britain are related and the Queen is at the top of the pecking order. Her grandson may have thinning hair and not-so-white teeth but he is still drop-dead gorgeous and the future King of England.
At the time of Princess Caroline's engagement to the playboy Phillipe Junot in 1977, Prince Rainier and Princess Grace were heartbroken that their daughter was not getting married to William's dad Prince Charles. How fortunate that Princess Caroline had no children with the shameless cheat and boundb68er Junot and married a handsome Italian industrialist Stefano Casiraghi who gave her such gorgeous offspring. Grace would not have been happy with most of what has occured in the kingdom since her death less than thirty years ago but she would have adored all of her beautiful grandchildren (including Albert's out of wedlock babies) and her new daughter-in-law.
Stephanie, who used to be incredibly beautiful, is still above-average in the looks department, but Caroline has maintained her class and dignity and married a genuine Royal Highness, not merely a Serene Highness. And Stephanie's many beaux, not to mention her low-life bodyguard/former husband make Phillipe Junot look positively grand by comparision. Junot was very upper-crust as the University-educated son of the head of Westinghouse in Paris. Junot's father was also the former deputy mayor of Paris. Caroline's first spouse was thus better born than Casiraghi and more suitable to marry royalty than any of the many lounge lizards Stephanie has forever associated with.
But Stephanie takes after her grandmother Princess Charlotte (who chose to live with a local jewel thief after divorcing Rainier's father Count Pierre de Polignac, thereby scandalizing the Riviera) who flouted the rules and chose to live on her own terms, something her granddaughter has done to a far greater degree and with such relish. Princess Caroline has done everything in her power to live by her mother's example, although it is said that she so strongly resembles her paternal grandmother it is uncanny. Of course, you can see just how much her mother's daughter Charlotte Casiraghi is: born in 1984, she was also named after her notorious great-grandmother, who was herself the illegitimate daughter of Prince Louis II of Monaco (Rainier's grandfather) and a laundress named Juliet Louvet.

Excluding Prince Albert who was never attractive? Yes the Grimaldi's are much better looking than the Windsors; excluding Princess Margaret who in her hey day could even give Princess Grace a run for her money.
