CNN haven't stopped interviewing Americans who are obsessed with the wedding. A Mexican woman went on a 16day hunger strike to try to get an invite to the wedding. Americans are paying thousands of dollars to go to London to stand all day to watch Catharine drive past.
Sorry OP, but you are way off base mate! -

It is funny how I keep hearing how much Americans care, but I'm American and I dont know a single person who does! Hell my mother asked me if I was going to watch Prince 'Charles' wedding today lol. But sure, you're going to find SOME people wrapped up into it in every country all over the world and countries like America thats never had a monarchy (well we did until after the war lol). No doubt about it as the wedding seem grand and if you had on your TV you couldnt look away. But this idea that either EVERYONE or NO ONE cares is just as ridiculous. I'm guessing there are some who are obsessed, but most of the average public watch it with slight interest and that includes the British themselves. But the ones who are REALLY obsessed just makes up for the rest of us lol.

The OP can speak for himself because on the news chan2000nels you keep getting American and even Canadian tourists that are really into it. Sure, not all Americans care, but saying "Nobody" in America cares is absurd. It's clear to see that many of those tourist in Westminster are yanks. Also back when William announced he was going to St Andrews, American applications shot up by 3 or 4 times.

That could be because simply after Diana's death, The Royal Family wasn't as popular as it once was and got less American media coverage.
I remember hearing about them meeting at college, their courtship over the years, the split and the engagement and now of course, the wedding.

You know you keep iterating that you are Americans as am I but where did your ancesters come from? I would say about 75% of Americans has a little bit of British in us. As for the wedding, it wasn't so much on who was getting married but the fact that it was extravegant and beautiful. Like someone else said, "don't like what is on then change the channel." I agree with that statement. There are over 1000 channels nowadays and only 4 or 5 channels were showing the actual wedding.

First, he is coherent in his interviews, and that alone makes him smarter than you (which isn't hard at all).
And what makes me incoherent?
Second, how do you know he is immune to any problems faced by the average person?
Does he have to worry about rising gas prices since he's being subsidized? Does he have to worry about being the future ruler as it's been guaranteed by bloodline while if I wanted to become the governor of California I'd have to work on attaining accomplishments to gain name recognition? Isn't it true he spent just ONE DAY being 'homeless' just to see what it's like to live in 'hardship' while I have to go to work EARLY IN THE MORNING everyday to earn minimum wage?
Third, i know you want to be Prince too, boy, but your mother didn't get married to a Prince (that, and she gave birth to a dimwit), so blame her.
Don't you want to be a royal too? Unless you yourself are one, why are you willing to keep on paying for his extravagant lifestyle? He should be a janitor, pharmacist, or whatever that doesn't pertain to royalty. This is why this insane institution needs to be abolished so no one can dream of being them and no one is above the law.
Fourth, even if he hasn't got ANY of the problems ordinary people face (which is impossible), he has plenty of other problems too, like, having your mother killed by the paparrazi and then having to spend your whole life dealing with the same paparazzi that just would not leave you alone?
I just wonder if he can abdicate his title and give it me I hope. Not going to happen. -

You said, "His family is rich not because you pay them, but because they own many properties."
It's because they and their ancestors stole them.
You said, "To be jealous and bitter that they came from rich families just makes you a pathetic loser."
I am just jealous because this prince used mainly his birth to live in luxury.
You said, "The King of Commonwealth just gets to stand there and look pretty and be hounded by the paparrazi."
What's the country's gain then?
You said, "Lastly, no, i don't want to be a Royal, because i still love my mum and my privacy. If i want money, i'll work for it instead of bemoaning about my parentage. Guess that doesn't apply to you."
When it comes to privacy, you can always come up with a disguise. But that privacy factor, you don't have to worry about a mortgage. I guess William analyzed the cost vs benefits and found his benefits (acquiring luxury through birth) outweight the costs (popularity). Speaking of popularity, Pippa Middleton's 'hugging' dress seemed to attract more attention than her sister during that wedding. So, the benefits outweigh it even more.
