I went out at 6:30 to shop and it was already filling up.

Why would you get out of bed that early on purpose?

I was already up and wanted to check out the new coffee joint so why not kill two birds with one stone. It’s been mad crazy to find a parking spot after 10 am.

Lots of people are probably doing holiday **** to get ready for Christmas. Try it again in March.

Fucking hate holiday weekend traffic, especially by Hammond Square. The roads aren't as bad as the parking lots, especially the one in the middle here. People come put, not looking.

Looks nice, new and sunny. Not much traffic. Texas was terrible during the holidays but really all the time. Too many people there.

That's not how it usually looks.
That's just an image from the property company's site. I was juat showing the parking lot setup. The way they're lined up in the main part of the shopping center. Inagine that with idiots coming out, not looking and slow traffic up and down the middle.

I can only imagine but also lived it in Houston. The only place where people actually can die from stopping at the tolls or having a semi fall on your car from an overpass. 🥶

I'm not a fan of Houston's city planning. I went there in 2021. There were some things I liked about the city, but it's not walkable at all. The drivers are assholes. Like Louisiana is bad, especially in Baton Rouge, but Texas is worse.
It's weird that they have the mall right there among the skyrises. In my experience, the malls tend to be right off the interstate, maybe in a more suburban part of the city, or at least not a lot of buildings around.

The city is huge and there are cities within the city limits so actually most have their own mall, shops, grocery stores, pharmacies etc. so no one really has to venture out unless they are going to a specific place. The Galleria is the expensive mall and right off the I-10. There are no zoning laws and that sucks. A fire station was built in between homes in a subdivision.

Ideally, there'd be walkable homes and shops in a city. I'm glad in my part of town, we have a smaller version of that, but only part of the town is like that. Like the university area and downtown combined are all walkable, bit unfortunately, there's no longer a grocery store you can walk to. There used to be.
Funny how the mall there is off i-10, and the one one Baton Rouge also is

I-10 is a long Interstate lol. There are a few malls off of it. Check out Katy, Tx. It’s right past the Houston border. Great example of it having its own city, mall, shops etc. They even have a Bucees. I used to live five miles away from there or less.

Yeah, I stayed in a hotel in Katy. It's kinda ugly in that area. A lot of grey new buildings and blandness. I think the HEB I went to was also in Katy.
I went to the Baytown Bucees though.

It is all built up. They have the Katy Mall with a water park etc. Only downside is it floods there.

why not kill two birds with one stone.
                                          You mean…
Kill two hunters with one shot.
                                          Birds are nice.
Why would anyone want to suggest killing them?
                                          That is just cruel.
