ok Here is the thing:
- Just because you dont practise Islam doesnt mean you cant be a muslim?
- Unless she specifically stated that she is an atheist or something we can consider her to be a muslim but non practising one
- If she wasnt born in Iran and cant be called iranian then why do I have to put "British - Pakistani British" in every application form that I fill in? Why not just put british because I was born here?

- Mexican
- Catholic
- Muslim
- Lesbian
- Pregnant
- Married
Please select answers, like 1,7, 8 or some other valid combination.
Non Practicing anything defaults to the last word of what she is
not practicing. If some combination do not make sense, like
not practicing pregnant, I will have follow up questions.
The real question I had, is she done with Life the TV Show, i.e., is
her character leaving the show. If anyone has that answer I would
appreciate it.

I think what the OP is really asking is "does Sarah Shahi hold religious beliefs that close her off from the possibility of dating anyone other than those who hold similar religious beliefs, i. e., me?"
I wouldn't mind knowing that either, frankly. -

It's amazing to read the comments from those claiming she cannot be Muslim because she has appeared in "this scene and that scene". By the same logic (or lack of it), nobody who has appeared in a film with sex outside marriage, homosexuality or nudity could be Catholic either. Try to tell that to all Latin actors and actresses. There are religious leaders who hold very conservative views, among them the Pope, the Ayatollah, many cardinals and many imams. That doesn't mean that all people who believe in the same basic principles necessarily are as conservative. If you can understand this for Catholics, why is it any harder to understand it for Muslims?

I don't believe that's accurate in the technical sense but some people incorrectly use the religious affiliation of their family to describe themselves However, Islam, Christianity, Buddhist, etc. are not something you are by birth but, at some point, you238 must make an affirmation of faith by choice.. Unlike a Jew which is different because it's a nationality, Ethnicity and a Religion so it's possible to be a Christian-Jew, Muslim-Jew, Jewish-American, etc If Sarah isn't practicing any particular religion by choice or has accepted the ideology of a particular religion then she's not affiliated with any particular religion.. She may be Atheist (Don't believe), Apatheist (Don't care) or Agnostics (Don't know)

Once you're baptized you're a Christian whether you like it or not. And in most denominations you're baptized as an infant. You may reject Christianity later in life but that doesn't mean that whatever church baptized you accepts your rejection. There are some where you don't get baptized or go through any other such induction ceremony until you ask for it as an adultthe Amish are one denomination which operates on that model. -

Jews would still consider an ethnically Jewish person Jewish, even if they converted. The posted above you is correct. They'd be a messianic or Christian Jew. I know several and they themselves still call themselves Jewish (as their ethnicity), even if they believe in Jesus. In fact, they still celebrate Jewish holidays at home (not at synagogue) with their Jewish families - but also go to church for the Christian ones.
Sarah could be a non-practicing Muslim, but she might still consider herself Muslim, anyway? -

Well technically you have to actually practice islam and/or at least believe in the basic tenets to be a muslim. If you don't practice, then you're not regardless of who your family may be.
But however it should be noted that muslims are not recommended or encouraged to speculate on these kind of things since it's a personal issue and only God has the full knowledge of a person's faith. -

your comment doesn't make any sense. so because 'her' country would hang her for her acting, she can't be muslim? you know that the rules of a country do not represent a religion? for example if she was originally from morocco or lebanon, would you have said the same?

I love how so many people in this discussion think she's hot but can't bear the idea of thinking a woman's hot if she's Muslim.
I only came here cause I just saw an advert for Fairly Legal and thought ''mmm nice legs!''. Whether or not she's Muslim, I don't care and I'm not going to bother myself with finding out which parent came from which country, what school she went to and whether it was Catholic, Muslim, Maori, Flying Spaghetti Monster etc
And another thing, people like to act all high and mighty when it comes to Muslims because they think they're all terrorists, but it's not as if Islam is the only religion that has groups with extreme views within it. Just look at the Westboro Baptist Church or whatever. Maybe people shou16d0ld start interpreting their views as the views of all Christians and all white people. Hell, I can't think any Christian woman is hot now because if she's Christian she must share the same views as Fred Phelps! Therefore I must find out where her parents came from and what schools she went to to justify my feelings of lust towards her!!!
And me being as irreligious as irreligiously possible in the most irreligious way irreligiously imaginable (it seemed people were getting paid for using that word so I thought I'd chip in, too. Irreligiously, of course) I don't care whether she's religious or irreligious. I just think she's hot! -

From the bio, she went to Southern Methodist University. Dunno if the school disallows non-christians. She's married to a Texan white guy doubt if he's muslim. Just because if her dad or her granddad is a muslim doesn't necessarily mean she is muslim, look at Obama though I know some fools think he is.. Her mom may be christian and took her religion or maybe she just decided to not be religious on either side. For those don't want to see the show just because they "believe" she is muslim is really foolish. Plus she was in Maxim..err..yeah she's a muslim. as in leleleleleleleh.
