While this post is premature in that I'm only half way through tonight's episode, all I can say is, I sure hope Sarah is

Just finished watching it on my DVR, and yeah, I was confused in the beginning too, thinking "Where is Reese and Finch?" It did have that whole spin-off vibe going for it, but then that would mean two CBS shows with "The Machine" as a character. Chances are she'll just be a recurring character, which I don't mind at all. Sooner or later she'll realize that Finch and Reese are trying to help her. And let's not forget she has a major score to settle with Root (Amy Akers), LOL. For those that are interested, go to the the POI Boards and you'll see quite a mix of fans both loving AND hating this episode. I thought it was a nice change of pace, myself.

I do hope she will become a regular. Chances are that she will just be recurring, and I love recurring characters like Leon, Root and Zoe, which I feel give a real depth to the show, but still hope she becomes more regular.
This episode was kinda strange, as Reese and Finch took on a real backseat role in the story. It didn't feel quite like PoI, and I wished we would see a bit more of them than we did, but it was still a good episode. The Team Reese ending kinda made up for it tho
Adding to that, the fact that they basically made the whole episode about introducing Shahi as Shaw, with Reese/Finch taking a total backseat role, makes me think she WILL be a regular cast member. The recurring characters so far never got the front seat. -

Please have her return in Person of Interest as a regular. She is so fine.
A true beauty

Sarah did a radio interview recently and stated that when Fairly Legal was cancelled, Jonah Nolan called her and explained how her character would be pretty important in the third season. So it definitely sounds like she'll be a recurring character, potentially even a regular. Also, one of the producers tweeted last week that it's NOT going to be a spin-off situation.

She may be back, but not as a regular. Sarah can carry her own show.
In this show there are so many Taraji, Paige, Amy and guys. They will not add another one if they don't even use the ones they have(Paige). -

I know I'm in the minority on this topic but I didn't much care for her on "Person of Interest." Loved her on "Fairly Legal" but I was really hoping HR would've killed her on "Person of Interest." She was annoying & IMO a bitch in that role. I was disappointed when they revived her. But I loved her as Renee Royce on "Chicago Fire." She's stunning!

I'm sorry. I don't like the Shaw character. She's way too one-dimensional. I like Root better than Shaw. At least you know Root's intentions. Shaw is siding with Reese and Finch one minute and then wants to kill them the next.

Not a very good actor but she is pretty. I hope we see a lot less of her. She's trying too hard to be the female Reese and doesn't have any depth to her. Her witty quips irritate me. It's like she's trying to take over the show.
Boring to watch.. -

Post finale, I really really REALLY want her on season 3 as a regular.
See her as a copy of John Reese or not, she brings the badassery to a whole new level AND she's unexpectedly funny. She's not a proby skill wise and her fresh perspective of the machine will bring new take and audience.
She'll be the "un-bumbling" new field sidekick that makes Reese pull his tiny pained smiles. He even tend to be a little more showy around her, and their mutual understanding of their line of work is enjoyably insightful. Those tiny knowing glances, it'll be a fun competition.
Still not convinced? Look at her relationship with Bear! I res7ect my case.
Kidding, more objectively speaking. Bringing Sarah Shahi on board as Shaw will be a smart creative move. It's season 3, and they did a good job of setting up the spice that will prevent the current formula from going stale. -

she has a two year jinxs, they need to get her off before they get cancelled, because life only lasted 2 years and so did fairly legal, I don't even know how long teachers lasted, and she was only on the l word for 2 years. soooo..

After seeing her in 19 episodes- I can do naught but agree. I think this is her best role yet, rivaling 'Life'. Sorry they killed off Taraji- I'd have rather seen Chapman buy the farm- but it will be interesting interplay between Acker- if'n they don't kill her off- and Shahi, as they're both ca-razy in different ways.
