She was a one hit wonder
The only reason Breathe did so well was for two reaons one was because Sean Paul was coming through and was at the time the in demand artist (like Akon nowadays), the only reason was the beat for the song was a Dr Dre one which she brought. She wont be coming back unless she has similar help on any new albums -

I didn't like the song or the video that much, anyway, so
As for Blu as an artist, I thought she was very talentedShe has a very nice, jazz-esque voice, which might've had a factor in her not selling that much. Although her and Faith Evans do look a lot alike, she was able to kind of carve her own niche in R&B (Not a very big one, but oh, well).
Oddly enough, in early 2004, Blu made some comments, accusing Beyonce of stealing her style (Blonde hair, working with Reggae artist Sean Paul). Around that time, it was rumored that Blu posed for Playboy again. After that, no one really heard anything from her again.
I didn't know she had gotten dropped from her label, but I guess it kind of makes sense, since you hadn't heard from her anymore (Besides her role in Drumline).
The last thing I heard about Blu Cantrell was a rumor that she was on drugs, along with Jimmy Cozier, another "Where are they now?" singer -

She's on Celebrity circus now. She's not a lez like someone said on here. She'd dating antonio sabato jr. i think or i heard. and i think she's gonna get kicked off first. i like her too so i hope she gets to stay.
