Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Dave Bautista

I'm just curious, not just Dave, but Brock and Bobby Lachley too. What are their reasons for going from WWE to MMA? Are they tired of people calling them fake wrestlers, so they feel they have to prove themselves? Or do they feel that WWE is falling by the wayside, so they should jump on the train that's picking up steam? I understand that WWE is physically demanding, and I do respect them for what they do, but MMA is brutal. Brock made sense, because of his significant amateur wrestling background, but I'm not sure about Dave and Bobby. And I do know that Brock went back to WWE.
