I thought he was rather respectful about the whole thing Soldier Boy
While Russell T. Davis should have got a Ben Whishaw in the lavvies for messing up the vibe of the show and what it meant to so many he's got a mild scolding and let off the hook.
Personally I'm unsure about the whole thing. I think it was just an epic troll and handled well for what it was. But nobody seems to consider that yet

It's not that hard to think up somebody, give them fantastical powers and then set them on an adventure
We really shouldn't be reusing Batman, Supes and the rest so often
Always nice to see a good story with them in it, but it's gotten a bit soap opera-y now with Batman shagging Barbara Gordon and just about everyone becoming gay overnight
