No it is not enough, or at least not for this particular creative team it isn’t. Do we know a single thing about Linda other than her being a nurse? No we do not. I could not tell you a thing about her other than her job role and the fact that she wants to get HOME like Doctor Sam Beckett.

We came to know Rose, Donna, Amy etc really well. They just don’t have the TIME for it these days.
I even feel I knew more about Ruby Road after one episode with her than I do after 7 with Linda.

I liked it until that slug monster turned up BUT YES how ironicalaty that we know nothing of OUR Linda and in that particular eppy it was L.I.N.D.A who didn’t know much about the Doctor and were desperate to find out!

I’ve seen him in the eppy now and sharing the screen with Shirley to boot!! I wish that they could have given him a meatier role though. Maybe they’re saving that for the spin off.

Russell thinks that he is doing lots of good work by highlighting people with disabilities that we can SEE, but he shouldn’t neglect the ones with HIDDEN DISABILITIES whilst he’s at it.
Chibnall tried a bit with Ryan, but that came and went as it pleased.

It is a shame because him dealing with that whilst on adventures would have made the stories more interesting. They would rather have souped up wheelchairs which fire rockets and do NOT put Shirley in a corner, viewers!

Well, Ryan was lucky that it wasn't RTD or we'd never stop hearing about the colour of his skin
I hated the way he was written but at least we didn't have to overplay the fact that he was 'black'.
But yes, way to overkill and understate an actual disability
Ding Dong
!
