I've actually run into several people who when I mention Lil Wayne, have no idea who I'm talking about. Unless you've lived under a rock for almost the past 50 years, you'll know who Michael Jackson is. MJ's music appeals to a much a wider audience of all ages, while Wayne appeals to the teen and college crowds.

Lil Wayne maybe whats hot right now but Nobody, I mean NOBODY in this day and age could move freaking mountains and change the entire music genre as we know it than Michael Jackson! Lil Wayne maybe appealing to the younger crowd today but MJ appeals to anyone of all ages (even to the kids who were born after his prime!) and also all over the world!
When Lil Wayne dies, you're not gonna see an entire Filipino prison perform a dance number to one of his songs. -
