"But you just have to be from this generation to like him "
I'm from this generation and I really cant stand Lil Wayne. I really dont get the hype about him. This man has some whackass rhymes and cant even enunciate his words. And how the HELL did he even get the title "Best Rapper Alive"??? I guess the other REAL rappers died, along with Hip Hop. I guess its prolly true that people these days take watever crappy music is fed to them and like it.
Honestly, I want something intelligent on why you guys like this man.
There are three types of people in this world- People who can count, and People who cant -

Lollipop lyrics
Lil mama had a swag like mine
She even wear her hair
Down her back like mine
I make her feel right
When its wrong like lyin'
Man
She ain't never had a love like mine
Man
I ain't never seen an xxx like hers
That xxxxx in my mouth
Had me at a loss for words
Told her to back it up
Like berp berp
And I made that xxx jump
Like jerp jerp
phone home lyrics
We are not the same I am a alien
Like Gonzales, young college student who done
Just flipped the game like Houston, I'm used to
Promethazine in two cups I'm screwed up
And you ain't beep if you ain't never been screwed up
Flow so sick make you wanna throw your food up
Ice water chest, and my wrist like a cool cup
Two twin clippers, I give your ass a crew cut
I get bread like cold cuts, you know what?
Your girl go down fast, come up slow, but I never slow up
Weezy!
So complex and deep and easy to understand.
This guy is a 1354loser. -

I keep seeing this in his lyrics. He rhymes the same word a couple of times, then a new word, and then the first word again. -

In fairness, here the intended rhymes to be focused on are the "swag" & "back" and "wrong" & &q5b4uot;love" pairs, which admittedly only rhyme in the loosest sense of the word. Many other rappers and poets use that form of parallelism in the construction of verses. They do, however, generally tend to use much sharper rhymes than Weezy. I'm not attempting to defend him out of any loyalty (it's obvious from just about all my posts here that I'm no fan), but I just wanted to point that out.
Opinions are like anuses; everyone has one, some are more likely to be beep up than others -

Yeah, I see, Daniel. But still, as you say, those don't rhyme that much either. And he does rhyme with the same word in other songs.
I've heard plenty of lyrically dope club songs. What, because it's made for a broader audience it has to be whack? -

i would not use lollipop as a gauge that song is for the radio therefore club banger does not need to be lyrically good just made to sell records which it did listen to some of his mixtape stuff such as dedication 2 or hottest n***a under the sun or the draught is over 6 -

best at the moment. I would start a list of rappers/rockers or whatever genre wayne is this week that have more talent and are better than him but I don't have the time. If you want to here some good musicians just give the word.

I have but one response regarding this rapper as well as the rest of today's mindless music for the masses rappers. Remember the "true" legends of hip hop and rap like Public Enemy, Paris, KRS-One, MC Eiht, CMW, EPMD, Run Dmc, Beastie Boys, Erik B and Rakim, Tribe called qwest, House of pain, The DOC, NWA, Eazy E, and ICE Cube. I could go on with the likes of Black Moon, Hammer, Das Efx. Today's rap is complete and utter garbage! End of story!

My three favorite rappers, as of right now, are Lupe Fiasco, Chamillionaire, and Tech N9ne, all much better than Lil Wayne. Just throwing that out there. Lil Wayne has changed so much since he started out. Back in the day he at the very least had some potential, but after Tha Carter 2 this guy blew any chance he had at becoming a good artist. He started just rapping about anything and everything and not in a good way either. His lyrics are usually pretty simple or at times just don't even make sense, then at other times he goes off topic with his lyrics and then the song as a whole just doesn't work. On Tha Carter 3 there were maybe 4 songs I thought were pretty could but the rest of the album was just terrible. I hope the masses of people who listen to hip hop will one day see that artists like Wayne, Soulja Boy, Plies, Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Flo-Rida, and so on are all just really bad artists.
You'll have to speak up I'm wearing a towel.
