Just to clue those of you 5b4in that seem to have forgotten that there is such a thing as Multiracial persons, there are 8 million people in the United States that identify as Multiracial. So therfore to simply label Jessica as solely Black (which there is nothing wrong with being only Black) proves that you are uneducated, in regards to race. Get use to the terms (multiracial/biracial).

Bi-Racical means two, so to me Multi-Racial would mean at least three. Jessica is bi-racial because she is only Black and Hungarian

In all honesty, who cares? I do not mean to sound rude, but why must people carry on about race? However, that thread "she's black??? wtf???" is stupid.

Especially since many suburban viewers see her as white.

The OP obviously is ignorant of haplotypes and ethnic variation. African American doesn't only include those that are negroid. A white boer from South Africa who migrates to the US can be regarded as African American. Jessica does not have the broad nostrils, kinky hair, prognathous jawline nor the bulbous occipital orbits. This claim of being African American is either a lie or some miscalculation due to inadequ5b4ate genealogical research.

Um no. African American is a culture and ethnic group. The name was adopted and coined by descendants of African slaves in America. The reason being, is because we could not determine the country/ethnic group our people were actually from, so the entire continent was used to describe our ethnicity. There were several terms being used at the time that became unpopular, including "Afro-American," but "African-American" stuck because it was less offensive to people at the time. If a white South African was born in the U.S. they would need to use the country they were from, and then attach the word to "American" if they wanted to describe their ethnicity. For instance, if an Irish person were born here, they really wouldn't say they were "European-American" to describe their ethnicity, they would say they were Irish-American.

Lol! Imbluzclooby, the only ignorant one here is you, if you seriously think that Boers from SA or white Kenyans living in the USA can call themselves "African" Americans. The term "African-American" is just another example of American progressives' obsession with words and terms for designating Black Folk (negrocolorednegroblackAfro-AmericanblackAfrican-American), they pull this stunt every 25-30 years. Coming soon will be "Sub-Saharan-African-American" wait for it.

How come when someone is MOSTLY white, its always questioned or frowned upon?
My father is biracial (black/white), my mother is black African American. That would make me a quarter white, right? Well, no one is questioning me because I'm MOSTLY black.
Most white people have this sick mentality that if your not (pure) white, then your not RIGHT.

                              Wentworth Miller
All these people LOOK mostly white, but on their message boards, theres all these race related posts like: "How can she/he be black", "Is she/he mixed", ect. Its ridiculous, really!

All I'm saying is black people who are mixed down the line (grandfather mixed or white), nobody really cares because they are just black. But if its the other way around with a whi5b4te person who has black down the line, its ALWAYS brought up.
If this girl didn't have black in her, then this topic probably wouldn't be here.

Actually, I see the opposite. Take a look at most of the IMDb forums of celebrity black women and you will say their race is always questioned, especially if they are pretty.

Jessica isn't as ambiguous as the people listed here. My mother looks more Caucasian than her (people are always confusing her ethnicity). When I saw Jessica, I knew she was a woman of African descent right away - and her hair wasn't even in it's naturally curly state. So, I wouldn't include her on this list. Nor Wentworth, or Jessica Parker Kennedy (who I thought was mixed with an Asian ethnicity, or Native American). They wouldn't be classified as "white," either.

Heather Locklear? Who in the world ever questioned her whiteness? Locklear epitomized Blonde California White Girl throughout the 80s. Is it because she's got Indianb blood? Well so does Burt Reynolds, as did Johnny Cash, James Garner and the King himself, Elvis.

Not sure how blonde hair magically means someone has no black ancestry. Many whites who claim to be part native actually had black ancestry that claimed to be native instead. Almost all white people who have ancestors from the south in antebellum times are part black whether they know it (most don't) or not.
