She claims she has a Kashmiri father named Mohammed Kaif (and Indians assume he's a Kashmiri Indian and not Pakistani, but that's another story) and she's definitely lying. There are NO pics of her father or real info about him. Her real name on her passport is Kate Turquotte and she was given a stage name by Ayesha Shroff who discovered her. Ayesha confirmed that "Katrina Kaif" was made up by her and that she originally named her "Katrina Kazi," which was scrapped because it was deemed too Muslim to appeal to general Indian audiences.

Sounds just like that English girl and Bollywood wannabe Hazel Crowley who changed her named to Hazel Kumar and dyed her hair black to appeal more to Indians. Small time models from abroad like her, Katrina, Amy Jackson have limited opportunities in their own countries so they go to India to find jobs because Indians and other Asians are such white/western worshipers. -

Well, I'd like to see the receipts for this because I don't believe in any gossip, especially stuff from Indian sources.
As for Katrina's looks, she looks mixed to me. She has a very long angular face that most Indians lack. -

Why can't she be fully white? Penelope Cruz is fully white and doeb68sn't look that different from her. And how is she "definitely half Indian"? There's no proof and her siblings don't look half Indian either.
Most Indians also believe the Brazilian model who named herself "Nathalia Kaur" and claims to be half Punjabi (or 1/4 depending on the day) too and she's just Portuguese (probably some native Brazilian blood too). -

I had a feeling that she was lying about her heritage, and that's part of the reason why I never liked her. Also, can I ask why she has become the "it girl" of Bollywood? There are so many actresses (who are actually Indian, unlike her) who are more beautiful, and of course a thousand times more talented than her too imo.

Katrina claims that her father's name is Mohammed Kaif, however Ayesha Schroff says that they just made that name up and it's not really her father's name. Personally, I don't believe that Katrina's father is even South Asian.
