Why does she keep making such crappy movies?

She had so much promise after Devil Wears Prada. I remember thinking what an interesting actress she was, so brazen and funny. She followed that up with Charlie Wilson's War and Sunshine Cleaning, both of which were also very interesting parts. After that it's all gone downhill. Now she stars in crappy big budget flops and became one of the blandest actresses working today. Whatever happened to that electricity she had and a willingness to take on untraditional roles?

I see your point here, and it's frustrating because for every great movie she makes, there seems to be 2 or 3 after it that just don't measure up. Looking at her body of work, the most interesting and challenging roles seemed to be during the earlier parts of her career. Her choices up until The Wolfman/Gulliver's Travels (with exception of Irresistible) showed some great judgement on her part. She's one of my favorite actresses working today so it's frustrating that she is not involved in more interesting projects.
